The club was formed in February, 2010 by Beth van Amerongen, Amna Zaidi, Pirjo Thompson, Victoria Lucius, Dawn Huff and Ginny Bumagny. After the first meeting, Gina Aghili, Nancy Vegel, Esther Amundson and Elsa Otero-Kackley joined the club and took other committees’ responsibilities.
